About Ronald McDonald House

Parents never expect to need a Ronald McDonald House, but we are there when families need us the most — during the serious illness or injury of a child. 1200 families were served at a Ronald McDonald House in Alberta in 2022. Fort McMurray continues to be one of the highest served regions; every year, many local families with sick children travel to Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, or Medicine Hat to find the medical care they need and a compassionate home away from home. When families are experiencing one of life’s most difficult times, RMHC Alberta offers them the gift of togetherness.
