Jeff will speak on how employers can address the impacts of cannabis legalization to the workplace, which include corporate risk to liability and ensuring workplace safety. As the cannabis space is newly evolving, there are many misconceptions about the potential implications moving forward from legalization. Many employers don’t believe they need to treat cannabis any differently than alcohol in their DOA policies, or believe that sending out a memo is enough.
Jeff aims to provide employers, HR and HSE professionals with the proper information so they can update their policies correctly, as well as implement a proper training program and prevention and awareness campaign that will produce lasting results.
