Cosia Camp Conversations
Join Tamara Giles, with Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA), at the COSIA “campsite” to talk about how Canada’s oil sands producers are accelerating environmental performance and connecting innovation with sustainability.
Through their commitment to collaborative action – doing things like sharing intellectual property, giving each other free use rights to proprietary technologies, and collaborating on the discovery, design and development of new technologies – to accelerate environmental improvement, COSIA members have shared over 936 environmental technologies, costing $1.3 billion, and they’re tackling some of the sector’s biggest challenges in the areas of land, water, tailings and greenhouse gases.
Tamara will describe some of the impressive work being undertaken by COSIA’s members, and why we can be optimistic about the long-term sustainability of Canada’s oil sands sector. Four, 30-minute discussions will take place on Wednesday, September 13th starting at 11:00 a.m.
The Seminar Series will be located on the exhibition floor in a variety of convenient locations with sessions scheduled every hour. These intimate gatherings are designed to create a meaningful exchange of information between attendees and exhibitors in a relaxed environment.
The Solutions Stage (Theatre) is a great way to learn about exhibiting companies’ products, services, findings and case studies.
The Conference will focus on collaboration and engagement between Indigenous Peoples, industry and government.
These educational components are free to attend with your registration.
